Privacy policy.
How we collect, use and protect personal data when you contact us, work with us or visit this website.
Who we are
Power Tech Innovations (“we”, “us”) is an electrical contractor based in Dublin, Ireland, delivering electrical installations for data centres, pharmaceutical plants and manufacturing facilities across Ireland and Europe. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018, we are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us at info@powertechinnovations.com, by phone or WhatsApp at +353 83 435 3400, or through the contact page.
What personal data we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to deliver our work:
- Enquiries. Name, company, email address, phone number, project location and the details you choose to share about your project.
- Clients and suppliers. Business contact details, site and project information, correspondence, quotations, contracts and invoicing records.
- Job applicants. Name, contact details, CV, qualifications, certifications and right-to-work information you send us.
- Website visitors. Our hosting provider records standard technical data in server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) for security and reliability. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
How we use it and on what legal basis
We use personal data to answer enquiries and prepare quotations (legitimate interests and steps prior to a contract); to plan, deliver, document and invoice our work (performance of a contract); to meet health and safety, tax, company-law and record-keeping obligations (legal obligation); to assess job applications (steps prior to a contract and legitimate interests); and to keep this website secure (legitimate interests).
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
The enquiry form and WhatsApp
The “Start a project” form on this website does not store your details on our server. When you press Send enquiry, your browser opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message addressed to +353 83 435 3400; nothing is sent until you confirm it in WhatsApp. Messages you send us through WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited / Meta Platforms under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. The form can also open your email app with the same message addressed to info@powertechinnovations.com; that message is handled by our email provider like any other email you send us.
International transfers
We work in Ireland, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, all within the EU/EEA. Some of our service providers (for example WhatsApp/Meta and web-font services) may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on an EU adequacy decision or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. Client, project and financial records are kept for the duration of the relationship and for 6 years afterwards, as required by Irish tax and company law, with health-and-safety and installation records kept for as long as the installation remains in service or the law requires. Unsuccessful job applications are deleted within 12 months unless you ask us to keep them on file.
Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures: access limited to the people who need it, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website, secured devices and accounts, and contractual obligations on our processors. No system is perfectly secure, and we will inform you and the Data Protection Commission where the law requires it if a breach affects your data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@powertechinnovations.com or +353 83 435 3400; we respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority: the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28 — dataprotection.ie.
Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
